: I've compiled Molcas 7.8 with GCC 4.8.0 compiler and OpenMPI 1.6.4. I try to run the tests but all but test016 fail. All fail at MOLDEN_CMO reference check. What is MOLDEN_CMO?

Using of most modern and unstable compilers is a very bad idea in general.
gfortran 4.8.0 contains several over-optimization problems, and the problem with MOLDEN_CMO - is one of them.
We overwrites some parts of code (in this case - generation of Molden files), in order to have a workaround for this problem in gfortran compiler - but these changes so far are available only in developers version of Molcas. (Our policy for bug fixing is simple - we do NOT responsible for compiler bugs, which found in compilers released AFTER release of Molcas version).

If you don't need Molden files - you can safely ignore this problem.
